A rather odd thing happened recently with a resort in Asia. When I asked them when they did their last night fire evacuation. ( which by the way has been outstanding for the last two visits) Their response was. “ I asked lots of friends who work in other hotels and they have never done a fire evacuation in the evening” so why should we ? we don’t think it’s necessary........ Hmmmmmm now I could provide him with details of 100’s of Hotels that do. Most peoples explanation as to why they do not do this is. We don’t have enough staff on in the evening to do the same fire evacuation. We don’t want to disturb the guests So then, what happens if there is a fire in the resort in the evening when you have the least staff on duty......
