Private Villa Safety
Many people now are choosing to take a private villa holiday as opposed to apartments and hotels.
Its a great choice for families to enjoy a holiday together, but it also comes with extra responsibility for you to take care of your family needs to keep them safe.
What does this mean for the owner/management company and how do they handle the health and safety requirements.
What happens if there is a fire, are emergency details provided, is their fire equipment available. Accident in the pool ? Gas leak ? Is the area safe, are there good locking systems installed - CCTV cameras ?
Who are the contact people and do they speak English? Is there a manual available to assist the villa guests in operating all equipment, and also what to do in case of emergency ?
It is not an easy task for a stand alone villa owner or villa management companies who are not supported by professional tour companies who know of all the requirements. And remember no two villas are the same. Each have their own individual water and power supply, swimming pools and facilities, which all need to be assessed. The same of course also applies to Airbnb units, which again can be very complicated depending on if this is an individual unit or part of another building. However, the requirements are the same. Is your villa or apartment safe to accommodate other citizens during their stay. If not you will be liable to cover any costs which occurred through the result of an accident in the property.
So here at Safety In Asia, we have created a walk through assessment for you to carry out in all your villas.
This can be done easily on your mobile device, with a step by step checklist to assist you.
Once complete you will be able to see clearly which areas need attention, and if you need more support you can contact us directly.
It's better to be safe than sorry........
